Colin turns 22 months old today :)

He can chew rice well now, count from 1 to 10, pronounce better, knows where are his nose, eyes, ears, mouth, hand, foot and many more. He still loves pororo and loves watching tv. He just knows so much more now and I'm so proud of him.

CNY is coming, can't wait to dress him up!

Little precious is 20 months old now :)

More molars growing and he eats more solid food like biscuits. Started on Scotts Emulsion! Hopefully that will boost his immune system. Milk intake is only twice or thrice a day now since he's able to eat other food. We give him milo + snacks and milk on alternate days. He really loves snacks! Able to speak more words now and he can even sing! He knows happy birthday, old macdonald, twinkle twinkle little star and the ABC song :) Sometimes he mix them together when he sings haha cute! He can even sing the word "eat" throughout the ABC song tune! :)

The other day we brought him to Lower Peirce Reservoir.

Colin is now 18 months old!

He drinks 200ml of milk twice a day now and still eats his usual porridge. The milk time in the noon has changed to snacks time cos he doesnt seem to want the milk.

And he talks so much now! Always running around shouting in his language. Starting to take interest in the tv too.

We brought him to the airport on saturday with plans to let him run around but there wasnt enough time and it was so crowded. So we had Swensen's and left. Gave him some fries and ice cream and he kept asking for more :) Will bring him to T3 soon!

Love you my little cutie. Grow up well and strong! And be brave for your vaccine injection tomorrow.

A toddler's favourite toy, the remote control!!Colin turns 17 months old!!

He can walk quite stable now and still has only 4 teeth. The 6th and 7th seems to be popping out :) And he loves to imitate now, especially imitating his daddy.. he learns all the nonsense things from his dad in a blink of an eye! While the things i teach gets ignored most of the time -.- Still so hyperactive, like always. Throws more tantrums now when he dont get what he wants, and loves walking. He hates being confined to a limited space like his playpen or the bed. Doesnt want to be carried when we're out too. All he wants now is walk walk walk walk walk.

Recently he kept dancing hahaha be it with or without music. He will also pick up our phones and put it to his ear and say "hello". Super cute!

Very happy to see him overcome a new milestone :) Hope your teeth grows out soon so that i can let you eat more yummy food.

My pretty boy can walk so well now, he can even squat down to pick up things, stand up without support and continue walking :) He doesnt even want us to hold him now. When he's even more stable we can go to the kids gym!!

Colin turned 16 months old on the 1st of July :)

He can speak more 2 syllable words now! The words he recently learnt are: Dirty, take, pee(which is please hahaha), ball ball and there's even more.

Increased his porridge to 2 bowls for each meal and cereal to 200ml. Milk intake is still the same but trying to let him drink more. When he eats his baby snacks he will feed others but still doesnt know how to feed himself cause he dont have the habit of putting things into his mouth.

He can stand up by himself without any support and is able to walk a few steps on the bed. Sometimes he'll feel a little scared and close his eyes shut while walking super cute! So happy to see him master a new skill.

Third day of fever already..side effects of the vaccine. If it doesnt go away tomorrow we might have to visit the doctor.

He didnt gain weight since 2 months ago, hopefully he'll not lose any due to the fever. Trying to increase his milk intake so that he'll gain some weight. His weight is currently average but some weight gain would be good for a growing kid. His height did increase!! :)

and look! his new fire engine from Yiyi! He also has Mater from Cars and a Toy Story mini tent with ball pit balls :)

Colin turns 15 months old today :)

He can walk with support now, still a little wobbly but can see he's getting there. Cant wait for him to walk! Going for a jab tomorrow at KK. Pains mummy's heart but its good for you. Hope you'll not get fever after that. Food wise still the same. Super active boy now! He just walked a few steps on the bed without support :)

Colin is sooooooo sweet and cute! Just now i pointed to a cut on my knee and pretended to cry. After awhile he pointed to his own leg and pouted! His eyes also got red and he almost cried. Oh my god so cute!!

Hi my name is Patrick.Colin's two upper front teeth have popped out of his gums :) His 2 lower teeth are halfway grown now, so so cute! And he had a haircut a few days back so his hair looks kinda funny haha.

He is even more active now. Keep wanting to crawl on the floor, sometimes he wants to walk with us supporting him. Most of the time he doesnt want to be carried nor crawl on the bed. He just wants to be on the floor. Temper is quite bad, gets angry when things doesnt go his way. But will smile immediately if you play with him and make him happy. Doesnt know how to walk yet but can walk in his playpen with only one hand holding onto the sides.

He also tries to mimick us and he's able to repeat more words we say. He said tutu just last night and he also calls out to people he recognizes. Like when he sees his dad come home he'll run to the door in his walker and say papa. I think his favourite thing to say is baibai(pray). Hahaha he says it everyday and almost every morning when he wakes up. When he gets scolded he'll also say baibai!!

At the phase of taking 2 hour naps now, we call it his growing naps.

14 months

Our little precious is now 14 months old!

His food intake is now 1.5 bowl of porridge twice a day and 120ml of milk every 2 hours except the first bottle of the day. And he mastered some new words! He even walked 3 steps without any support today on the bed :D :D

New words he said: bai bai(pray pray while doing praying actions lol), pa pa(which means he's scared and pats chest), ah gu(uncle), auntie, uncle, diu diao(throw in chinese), bubbletea, baobao(carry) and some random things like ba puuu, aiiiiiiiyo, aiya.

I probably say this almost every month but really, he's getting cuter by the day! So handsome too hehe. And his two little teeth is about half out now, SO CUTE!!

So yesterday it was the Baby Singapore 2011 contest at Katong CC. We didnt win any prizes except the lucky draw Kodomo hamper. But to mummy, Colin will always be the most beautiful and amazing baby in the world and we dont need contests to prove that :)

Also, yesterday night Colin held his own bottle all the way until he finished his milk for the first time! So proud of him! :) :)

First fall

Colin had his first fall today while crawling on the floor, he was attempting to use the bed as support to stand up. As a mom, its hard to not feel worried and scared and have a heartache when i saw that but i believe if a person never fall, he'll never learn. Maybe the next time he tries to stand up again, he'll have a tighter grip on whatever's supporting him which will help him balance better?

More words he learnt to say these few days: Tar(Star but no teeth so cant pronounce S haha), bao bei and he tried to imitate more sounds. The first thing he said when he woke up today was papa because he saw papa next to him. Super sweet! :) Even though he doesnt get to see papa very often cos papa is always working, when he sees him he'll call out to him immediately! Looks like there's a very special bond between them :D

Half an hour ago Colin suddenly doesnt want to be carried. He wants to crawl instead. Carried him up while he's crawling halfway and he actually cried!! Put him on the floor more often now, afterall he's a boy must let him get used to playing on the floor instead of the soft comfy bed all the time. His crawling is stable and he didnt slam his face on the floor like he would on the bed.

And he likes to pick up everything including his blankies in the cot to throw on the floor!! So naughty.

Colin turned 13 months old on 1st April! :) Such a big boy now, mummy is so so glad to see you grow so well.

He had 1 vaccine injected on the 1st and cried for 2 seconds before getting distracted by some toy the nurse showed him hahaha. But he's still mummy's brave boy!

At 13 months, the words he know are ah zor(great grandparents), ah dua(grandpa's nickname!!), ah ma, mummy, mama, papa(sounds VERY NICE), zai si(means orhor, you die you made a mistake/dropped something), jie jie, mam mam, throw. He copies what we say sometimes, like shh, ow, and when you tell him the porridge is hot must blow blow, he will blow hahaha. So cute!! Very naughty though, everything thats in his hands end up on the floor eventually. Keep throwing and throwing things. And his two little tooth grew out a bit more :)

Still mushroom, but less mushroom-y. Hahaha. Because all of us agrees that not everyone can pull off the mushroom hair like Colin so no change of hairstyle. The fringe will look better in a couple of days. HE CRIED LIKE MAD. Once the guy put the towel around his neck the tears came immediately. Still sobbing even after the haircut was done. The first time he had a haircut he was unhappy, second time cried a little, this time he's super upset. Guess the forth time will be worse :/ Wonder how hard he'll cry during his injections next month :'( Its so heartbreaking to see him cry.

And Mummy got locks for the drawers! Now you cant pull out the drawers and take things out to throw all over the place anymore. HAHAHA.

Not a lot of pictures of Colin cos 1. he's moving too fast and 2. we didnt really go out.

He sits up by himself very well now! And at night he even sits up to whine for his pacifier super cute. Learnt something new recently, which is patting his chest and saying "pa pa"(scared scared) when he's scared. But sometimes he anyhow use! Like when he's supposed to clap his hands he'll do the pa pa. Or vice versa or randomly he'll just pat his chest hahaha. He hasnt taken the first steps yet.. hopefully soon!! His godpapa said he'll buy him the walker(the push kind). Wonder if its true... We'll see!!

Colin only napped for 15mins for the whole day yesterday!! He was quite interested in the penguins at the Bird Park.. and after that he got a little sleepy when we brought him to look at the other birds. Long beach at night for his birthday dinner and the irony was he couldnt eat any of the food hahaha no teeth! He tasted some peking duck though..

Customized a Thomas cake for him. The design turned out to be nicer than expected and taste-wise its quite nice too. Glad that it turned out well!

Think he knew it's his birthday cos he was so excited for the whole of yesterday. Hope you had fun darling! Love you.

At 1 year old, he

-still takes 150ml of milk every 3 hours
-eats one full kiddy bowl of porridge 2 times a day and sometimes its 180 ml of cereal

-can crawl but not walk, and refuses to crawl on the floor( like boss )

-is able to stand up by himself with support from us/playpen

-likes birds, cats, dogs, small animals and will go "wu wu wu" when he sees them

-knows how to call mama when he's hungry/wants to be carried/wants to sleep

-is not teething yet

-IS GETTING CUTER AND CUTER
-knows how to clap his hands and wave byebye( his wave is fortune cat style! )

-totally cannot sit still and is very active.

Its been a year since i had you.. and you really brought a lot of joy to me. You're so amazing and you do the cutest things. You know you're really a gem and everywhere i bring you there's always praises for you. A few days ago, Colin mastered the skill of clapping his hands. So from then on, when he's in a good mood and we say " clap clap hands " he'll clap! Super adorable!! And its double the cuteness when he smiles while doing it. So happy that he learnt something new!

And i'm guessing he actually knows i'm mummy. Because he'll always repeat " mama " when he wants to be carried/ is upset / is hungry.

Might be teething soon.. he's been trying to bite things. And at certain times of the day he's a little annoyed and keeps rubbing his face/ mouth area. Dont exactly know whats the symptoms of teething but hopefully he'll not have a hard time.

Not a lot of pictures of Colin on his first CNY as he was too fidgety to take pictures. But his red packets haul was damn good hahahaha never seen any 11 months old baby get so much before. Not comparing with the rich though..

Everyone loves him! But as usual, 90% of the relatives mistook him for a girl. He had smooth beautiful skin on the first day but the rash came on the second sigh. Gonna bring him for a haircut soon, think his hair is making his face even more itchy.

Colin turned 11 months old on the 1st :D In another month he'll be 1 year old. omg sooooo fast!

Food intake still the same, not much difference except the cereal, increased to 150ml. Hopefully he'll be teething soon so we can give him a wider variety of food. When you turn 1 year old mummy give you yoghurt! :)

He's able to stand up now, with the support of the sides of his playpen. And he knows how to sit up by himself too. He hardly ever crawls on the floor because he tends to just let go and somehow slam his face onto the bed. Too dangerous to let him crawl on the floor. And now his face is getting so chubby SO CUTE!!

Colin crawled FOUR STEPS FORWARD today!!! Last week was 2 steps, today he crawled 3 and then 4 steps forward!! SO HAPPY!

Anyway the pediatrician at KK's said babies will learn to crawl forward between 8 to 10 months old.. So Colin still has one month :D

He's got Bronchiolitis(think its spelt like that?) which means some wheezing/ phlegm blocking his airway in the lungs. The docs cant be sure if he'll get asthma from his dad cos this is his first episode of wheezing, but hopefully he wont get it.

He's recovering well now :)

Colin turns 9 months old today! Naughty boy still doesnt want to crawl yet, i'm hoping that he doesnt skip crawling..

Milk intake is still the same, 150ml every 3 hours. Not teething yet too.

He's not afraid at all cos he loves water. Kinda expected him to fluster/whine a little but nope, not at all. He's so comfortable in the tub playing with the balls and whatnot. And from time to time licking the float/his hand/the toys -__- It was expensive considering the fact that we had to share the tub... but i'm glad we went cos he had fun! He didnt even care about the other boy in the tub totally in his own world hahaha. Maybe a few more months can go public swimming pool :D

Colin is no longer taking Cerelac brown rice, he's eating Frisocrem now. Hopefully he wont have constipation anymore. Nestle milk powder doesnt suit him as well, only Friso does.

His new hobby is pulling out drawers! And right now as mummy is typing this, he's pulling out a drawer -.- Nowadays he'll say "mamamama mama mamama" sometimes, or when he's grumpy. Only mama, no papa or whatever just mama HAHAHAHA. Still dont know how to crawl forward yet, only backwards :(

Colin turns 8 months old today :D

Still eats the same amount of porridge and cereal on alternate days. Milk intake is the same too. Quite stable when sitting, better to have a pillow to support him so he can sit back up if he happen to fall backwards. On crawling position more often, moves backwards quite fast. Loves his grandpa to bring him for walks. He's only jumpy and noisy when grandpa brings him, daddy and mummy bring he keep quiet. Guess he's used to his grandpa cos he's always the one bringing Colin down. Likes to sleep beside daddy at night. Not teething yet. Loves hide and seek. Knows how to move forward on his walker. Getting cuter and cuter!!

The banana was a bit sour in the middle hahaha. But he eats it like he eats his porridge and cereal. Trying to introduce new food to him slowly. He tried banana, yam, coffee(LOL), candy, bread... and a few more but just like a lick of it hahaha. What he really ate were cereal porridge yam and banana. Gonna let him try apple tomorrow :D

First balloon

Colin got his first balloon yesterday, and he's kinda afraid of it. He'll keep blinking and stay far away from it while scrunching his face hahaha. But he likes it too cos he'll hit it while smiling when its not floating around.

And today, he tried yam. He likes it. His mom doesnt like it and is very surprised because he didnt scrunch up his face when he first tasted it. Usually when he eats something for the first time he'll scrunch up his face and keep shaking his head. But for yam, not really. He'll be having it for dessert tomorrow haha.

He can sit for a longer time now, in fact as long as he wants to and not falling half way(unless he's lazy). Head still not very stable for crawling yet and he's still crawling backwards. But dont think he likes crawling very much.. always whining when he's on his tummy. =/

So, Colin had his vaccinations again today.

Two needles were poked into his thighs again and a dose of Rotateq. As expected he wailed until his face turned red. So heartbreaking!!! To pacify him mummy brought him to the nursing room and turned on the tap to let him watch the water flow LOL and it worked, he stopped crying. We left the room and he started crying again so U-turn back to watch water flow hahaha. He was damn moodless after that. Actually when we stepped into the hospital he's already moodless. Think he knows something is wrong. Gave him milk and he fell asleep... Woke up after awhile and became very active and happy. He just kept shouting and laughing all the way til bedtime!!!!! -____- I guess he knows its over no more until after his birthday. And he was so fast at grabbing the pediatrician's measuring tape. Aim very long already and GRAB when she carried him. He likes all things long and curvy. Little worm gained around half a kg, his weight now is 7.67kg. He's in the average range and growing well. Mummy felt so relieved to hear that.

Colin's kinda undergoing a growth spurt or something, he keeps wanting to sleep and is quite cranky. Nowadays he eats his brown rice cereal two times a day and drinks his milk at random amounts. The cereal tin says to give 5 tablespoons with 150ml of water per feed but he's having only 1 tablespoon now. How can a 6 month old finish such a huge bowl of cereal?! Its mad. He can already last up to 3hours for that 1 tablespoon. The amount to be fed listed on the milk/cereal tins cant really be trusted, unless your baby is big. The last time we followed the amount on the tin the pediatricians said Colin's being over-fed -.-

He can crawl backwards a little now, learnt that within 2 days. So proud of him! And he grew taller! His feet cant really touch the ground when he's in his walker last week but this week they can :D

Been sick the whole week, now on the road to recovery. Took such a long time to get better cos all the mucus/phlegm is stuck inside him. He hates it when we use the pump to suck out his mucus for him. Get well soon baby, mummy loves you :)

Mummy's pretty boy turns 6 months old today! :D

Started on porridge and brown rice cereal a few days back, likes porridge more than cereal. Milk is still 180ml every 3hours. Cries sometimes when people he dont recognize carries him. Can no longer sit still in his bumbo!! Flips a lot now. Every single time he lies down he flips! Sticks his tongue out quite often hahaha very cute.

And getting more and more beautiful as each day passes :)

Colin keeps flipping today, trying to reach for his toys :D And he also grabs his legs a lot nowadays, sooner or later they'll go into his mouth. Drinks 180ml of milk every 3hours.

He likes to put his mouth in that funny shape like in the last pictures and go "mmmm mmm mmmmm" for a long time hahahaha. Gets very excited when we bring him out but when you talk to him he ignores you cos he's concentrating on the surroundings. He's starting to grab his legs and play with them too. Sticks his tongue out occasionally and drinks 150ml of milk every 3hours now. Finally increase!! Once or twice a day he'll talk to himself for awhile and he flips as and when he likes it. Sometimes he flips once a day sometimes no flips at all.

Will be starting him on a little bit of cereal at the end of the month and when he's six months old will let him have brown rice. Yuck.. brown rice suck mummy dont like it but sorry its really good for you so you have to eat hahahaha.

Colin turned 5 months old yesterday :D

Now he knows how to reach out for things he wants to grab. He also laughs more. Still taking 120ml of milk every 2hours. Cradle cap is starting to fall off more and more yayyyy! GROWING CUTER EVERYDAY :D He's got a pair of beautiful eyes and long lashes. And whenever he wakes up from a nap/sleep the first thing he does is smile at whoever's looking at him :)

Colin was so tiny and fragile, look at him now. Those drum stick legs HAHA. Its heartbreaking to look at his less than one month old pictures cos he was so skinny. Seeing him grow to this size puts mummy's heart at ease.

Brought him back to yishun today to visit his grandparents. He only took one nap there and kept playing and playing. He loves it when there's a lot of people around so he laughed/smiled a lot today :) Nothing beats seeing him smile! His god-daddy even fetched him home today, hehe please fetch him home more HAHA. Another good thing about Colin is he's quiet on transports. He will look around quietly and slowly fall asleep on his own when he's tired.

New pattern from Colin. Last night he started "puuuuu-ing" with his mouth, which also made his saliva fly out. He repeated that for quite awhile..

When he's in the right mood, he will smile/laugh when you smile to him, and gives the expressionless face when you frown at him. But if he's not in the mood whatever you do he will just ignore you. Hahaha and his laugh is super cute!! When you pull his hands, he will use your support to make himself sit up, sometimes if he's not lazy he can even try to stand :D

Colin is 6.72kg now, gained about 1.5kg. The doctor says he's growing proportionately :D

He had two jabs today and the nurses poked both needles on his legs at the same time!! Needless to say, he burst out crying. But he's so brave his cry only lasted less than 20seconds! After that he's all smiles again. Soooo cute! Now he have 2 round plasters on his legs.

Hope he doesn't develope fever this time.

Colin flipped for the first time today! Mummy woke up to a lying-face-down Colin O.O Really wonder how he did that hahaha. And the first thing he tasted besides milk is coffee! Yes coffee hahaha and he also tried cheesecake but he still dont know how to eat that so he spat it out. He tasted watermelon juice and porridge too. He drinks Gripe water at least once a day now and loves it cos its sweet, always finish all! :)

Colin turns 4 months old today :)

He can almost flip now, 3/4 successful. Will baby "talk" for a longer period of time. And he keep wanting to suck his thumb. He will pretend to hold his pacifier and secretly put his thumb in his mouth hahaha. Able to hold things for a short while. Drinks 120ml every 2 hours. Probably wont be starting cereal until 6 months old. Grew out of most of his clothes and have new ones now. And still very much loved :D

Colin's SO cranky today. So many episodes of crying non-stop. The longest he cried was for about 45mins. He just kept crying and crying and crying and we tried everything to make him stop but they didnt work. In the end we bathed him, at 10.30pm. So late but no choice. He stopped because he loves bathing. Then after taking milk and all he calmed down. And it all started again an hour ago... managed to make him stop after 10mins. Finally sleeping now. Its his tummy, a lot of wind inside.. and he didnt shit today. Hopefully he shits tomorrow and he'll be a smiling baby again.

HE IS SO CUTE. Your heart will melt when you see him pout. DAMN CUTE.

Colin loves eating his hands nowadays.. whenever his pacifier drops he'll put his hand into his mouth. And he hates lying down when he's awake now. He wants to be carried/sit up if not he'll start making a fuss. Talks for a longer period of time... As in he will keep making sounds and continue doing it for about 15mins or more. The cutest thing is he covers his eyes with his hands when he sleeps! Hehehehe so cuteeeeeeee.

Colin had his 6-in-1 and Rotavirus vaccinations today and he was a brave boy! Cried once they poked the needle in but only for one minute! He was okay after that but developed fever at night :( 1 in 10 babies get side effects from the vaccine and it had to be him zzz. Recover asap okay? Breaks mummy's heart to see you like that..

And he's 5.3 kg now :) Gained 3 kg in 2 months. Doctor says he's catching up quite well cos he was rather small at birth.

His eyes will follow an object/person around now, and if you show him the same thing over and over he'll lose interest in it. He responds to our baby talk too! Yesterday he kept trying to make sounds when we say "Yay!". Damn cute :D

Very cranky tonight cos of his fever kept crying...sigh.
